Sometimes a compiler is responsible for the creation of the intellectual or artistic content.
eg.
Compilers of family histories. It is their research and so they should get a 100.

504 and web references

These days books often list web references.
Therefore the following is used:-

260 The Committee vs ANZAC Day Committee etc

Correct

1. 260 # # $a Sydney :$bN.S.W. Dept. of Education,$c 2006.

Incorrect

2. 260 ## $a Sydney :$b The Department, $c 2006.

This is to allow key word searching of N.S.W. Dept. of Education which would not work on example 2.

Language & Dewey

French author writes in English = 823 (English literature)
French author translated into English = 843 (French literature)

Language note 546

Make notes on the language of the item or on the fact that it is a translation or adaptation, unless this is apparent from the rest of the description (2.7B2).
eg
