A new ed. when:-

1) Change in content eg corrections.
2) Any changes in 245, 250, 300 & 440

Re: 020 & 260 consider a copy if the variations are :-

1) Printing or copyright date when there is a publication date.
2) A minor change in an entity's name eg "St Martin's" & St Martin's Press".
[Harper & B
rothers" & "Harper & Row" is a major change and therefore a new ed.]
3) Addition, deletion or change of an ISBN.
4) Difference in binding.
5) Variations in CIP.
